WikiBooster turns Wikipedia articles into collectible cards. Here is everything you need to get started, in five minutes.
Every card is a real encyclopedia article: a celebrity, a country, a film, an animal species, a historical event… The more an article is read on Wikipedia, the rarer its card. It runs in your browser, on phone or computer, with nothing to install.
A pack holds 5 cards. You get a new one every 10 minutes, up to 10 in reserve, and every new player starts with 20 packs. To open one, swipe along its top edge like a real booster. The rarest card always comes last.
On top of regular packs: a daily Trends pack (3 cards from yesterday’s most-read articles) and theme packs that change every week (music, film, sports, history…), one a day.
There are six tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare and Legendary. They depend on the article’s lasting popularity (its usual readership over 60 days), not on a news spike. Attack and defense stats come from the article too.
Offer trades to friends (up to 5 cards each side) or auction your cards on the market for leaves, the in-game currency. Duplicates can be recycled into leaves: the rarer the card, the more it’s worth.
Challenge a player to 5 questions drawn from your cards’ articles: find the article from an extract, guess a description, compare popularity… 15 seconds per question. Most correct answers wins; the fastest breaks ties.
Complete themed albums (planets, painters, Pokémon…) to earn leaves, unlock achievements, and join a guild to climb the leaderboard together.
Yes. Packs recharge over time and there are no paid packs. You can even open a first pack without an account, right on the home page.
