Gungage (ガンゲージ) is a third-person shooter video game for the PlayStation created by Konami. It was released in Japan and Europe in 1999. The only plot presented at the beginning of the game is "suddenly, at locations everywhere, beasts have begun to appear and attack people".

Gin to Kin (銀と金; lit. 'Silver and Gold') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. It was serialized in Futabasha's Action Pizazz from 1992 to 1996, with its chapters collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. The series portrays the machinations of men living in the underworld, including speculative stock wars and backroom deals with politicians, deadly struggles for life against vengeful and crazed murderers, and Fukumoto's signature gambling games.

Kizuna: Bonds of Love (Japanese: 絆 KIZUNA～恋のから騒ぎ～, Hepburn: Kizuna: Koi no Kara Sawagi) is a yaoi manga, authored by Kazuma Kodaka. In Japan, a total of eleven volumes were published first by Biblos and then by Libre Publishing between December 1992 and September 2008. In North America, the series was partially released in English by Be Beautiful between September 2004 and August 2007.

Guts and Glory is a 3D simulation video game in which players, choosing from a variety of vehicles, navigate a race course while dodging with lethal traps and hazards like buzzsaws, spikes, and land mines. The game was created and developed solely by Jed Steen of HakJak Productions and released by independent publisher tinyBuild. Guts and Glory debuted on Steam in 2017 following a successful 2016 Kickstarter campaign, becoming a "cult favorite," according to one review website.

Andrew Mark Norfolk (8 January 1965 – 8 May 2025) was a British journalist and chief investigative reporter for The Times. Norfolk became known in 2011 for his reporting on the Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal and other cases of on-street child grooming. He won both the Paul Foot Award and Orwell Prize for his work, and was named 2014 Journalist of the Year.

The 1936 Madison Square Garden speech was a speech given by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt on October 31, 1936, three days before that year's presidential election. In the speech, Roosevelt pledged to continue the New Deal and criticized those who, in his view, were putting personal gain and politics over national economic recovery from the Great Depression. The speech was Roosevelt's last campaign speech before the election.

2016 American film

Gotabaya Rajapaksa, a Sri Lankan politician and former military officer who served as the 8th president of Sri Lanka from 2019 to 2022, initiated a self-imposed exile on 13 July 2022, following widespread protests led by civilians demanding his resignation, triggered by extensive discontent over his handling of the country's economic crisis. On 13 July 2022, following a string of mammoth protests that eventually culminated into a civilian takeover of his official residence and workplace by protestors, Rajapaksa fled the country, accompanied by his spouse and a personal security detail, to the Maldives, before further retreating to Singapore on 14 July. On 14 July, whilst in exile, Rajapaksa resigned the presidency, becoming the first Sri Lankan president to relinquish the office mid-term.

The 10th South Indian International Movie Awards is an awards event that took place in Bengaluru, India, on 10–11 September 2022. The ceremony (10th SIIMA) recognized and honored the best films and performances from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films and music released in 2021, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards. The event was announced officially in early-August along with the date.

Senator Richard M. Nixon's speech at a state Republican Party fundraiser in New York City on May 8, 1952, impressed Governor Thomas E. Dewey, who was an Eisenhower supporter and had organized a pro-Eisenhower delegation from New York to attend the national convention. In a private meeting following the speech, Dewey suggested to Nixon that he would make a suitable vice presidential candidate to run alongside Eisenhower. The 1938 Gettysburg reunion was an encampment of American Civil War veterans on the Gettysburg Battlefield for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The gathering included approximately 25 veterans of the battle with a further 1,359 Federal and 486 Confederate attendees out of the 8,000 living veterans of the war. The veterans averaged 94 years of age.

Mohammad Asif Sandila NI(M) HI(M) SI(M) LoM OM BJSN BYD NMSI (Urdu: محمد ﺁصف سندیلہ; born: 1954), is a retired four-star admiral in the Pakistan Navy who was the 19th Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy. Prior to this command appointment, Sandila briefly tenured as the Vice Chief Naval Staff in the Pakistan Navy which he assumed in 2010. In 2011, President Asif Ali Zardari, on the request of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, promoted Sandila to four-star admiral and appointed him as the Chief of the Naval Staff on 7 October 2011 upon retirement of the then Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir.

The Book of the Earth (Arabic: كتاب الارض, romanized: Kitab al-Arid) is an Ancient Egyptian funerary text that has been called many names such as The Creation of the Sun Disk and the Book of Aker. The Book primarily appears on the tombs of Merneptah, Twosret, Ramesses III, Ramesses VI, and Ramesses VII and serves as a counterpart to the Book of Caverns. The central figures in the story are Osiris, Ra and Ba, while the overarching plot is the journey the sun takes through the earth god, Aker.

Ageia, founded in 2002, was a fabless semiconductor company. Hanako and the Terror of Allegory (Japanese: 花子と寓話のテラー, Hepburn: Hanako to Gūwa no Terā) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Sakae Esuno. Fathom is a 1983 action-adventure game developed and published by Imagic for the Atari 2600. It is the final game to be designed by Rob Fulop for Imagic before Imagic stopped developing for home consoles. It was later ported to the Intellivision, ColecoVision, TI 99/4A, and MSX. The player controls both a dolphin and a seagull to collect the missing pieces of a broken trident and save a mermaid trapped at the bottom of the ocean.

The 1st Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, presented by the Hollywood Critics Association, took place through a virtual ceremony on YouTube on August 29, 2021. However, due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County and the US, the ceremony was delayed a week and the broadcast was originally supposed to be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles on August 22, 2021. The City to Surf is a popular road running event held annually in Perth, Western Australia, in which participants race from the CBD to City Beach, a distance of approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi). After the game was developed it was distributed on an ad-hoc basis by the French business school INSEAD. Markstrat is played in over 500 academic institutions worldwide, including 8 of the top 10 international business schools.

BB Senshi Sangokuden (BB戦士 三国伝, BB Warrior Romance Of The Three Kingdoms) is a series in the SD Gundam franchise from 2007 and the 18th work in the Musha Gundam series. The story and characters are modeled after those featured in the classic 14th-century Chinese novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong, though story elements and the names of the Three Kingdoms themselves are fictionalized. IMSA World Championship Racing is an unreleased sports prototype racing video game that was in development and planned to be published by Studio 3DO on a scheduled fall 1997 release date exclusively for the Panasonic M2. Had it been released before the launch of the console was cancelled, it would have become the first officially licensed title by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and one of the first titles to be launched before the system it was designed for. In the game, players compete against other racers across multiple tracks in order to finish in first place and advance to the next course.

The 1961 South African presidential election was the first to be held in South Africa.
